Burberry does rubber

My love for things rubber and shiny started when I spied this Topshop skirt when I was on Oxford Street the other day. I love it so much and I've seen loads of bloggers wearing it. But I couldn't quite justify the price tag which was just under £40. I'm on the hunt for a more purse friendly alternative and scouring ebay, asos sale etc.
Now I've always been a fan of leather and pvc that's no secret. But I love this whole rubber trend kicked off by Burberry. The classic Burberry trench updated by rubber accents looks incredible and so luxurious. I especially love the oxblood/burgundy colour. This has filtered down to stars like Caroline Flack and Rita Ora who have been seen wearing the see through Burberry rubber skirt with heart print knickers also by Burberry. And of course I always look to Lady Gaga for outfit inspiration when fetish wear is involved. You would achieve a pretty similar look to hers with the Topshop skirt and a leather bralet, (hair in a bow, optional).

I think a shiny patent, pvc or rubber pencil skirt is actually quite versatile. I would wear on a night out with a bralet or a light camisole and some chunky heels. But you could also wear this during the day with a big fluffy jumper tucked in and some small heeled chunky boots. Definitely need to invest in a shiny skirt! Watch this space!

Best of eBay no.2: TOPSHOP Astrix boot copies !!!

Hello!!
Long time no blog! I have been so busy with starting my new job and finishing my old one. I really am so sad that I've finished working as a Teaching Assistant. It was my dream job and I met some lovely people, and some amazing children. I'm struggling with my new job, but just hoping it gets better and I can get some more hours.

Anyway in order to distract myself from my woes, I turn to shopping (as usual). I have been lusting over the Topshop Astrix boots for ages now. I just think they are so edgy but also really casual and understated. The perfect mix of a statement shoe and the "I haven't even tried" look because they are basically a heeled plimsoll. But rather than paying £40 I have been scouring ebay for a cheaper alternative for literal months. And bingo I've finally found a copy, I would be bold enough to say an identical copy, for just over HALF THE PRICE. eBay and your bargain knock offs, I salute you.
Can you spot a difference? Because I can't!!
There are loads of sellers selling these for around £25 and a few quid extra for delivery. But they are such a good copy!! I wanted a pair in white but every pair has sold out in a 4, so I bought black anyway- they'll be great for winter. For that cheap I would get both colours. There's also a pair with black canvas and white soles which could be cool! Get these here here here here
I'll let you know what I think when they arrive!

Hope you're well and a huge thankyou for reading! I couldn't believe I had 6101 views when I came on to write this. It just gives me a huge push to blog more and make myself better at it. Thankyou again and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin!! You'll make my day!

Best of eBay no.1: Victoria's Secret strappy bikinis

This post is inspired by my lovely friend Yasmin who just got back from a holiday in Marbella. As well as making me insanely jealous her holiday photos show some gorgeous girls in some amazing bikinis so I thought I would see what eBay had to offer. I found loads of cheap Victoria's Secret knock offs from China. I just love what that country does for fashion, and my pocket.

Sorry about the awful quality of the eBay photos!
All eBay bikinis are less than £10 including delivery. Very very tempted by the last caged one. I know missguided were bringing one out like this but I doubt it would be as cheap as a tenner. I'm just slightly concerned about the dodgy tan lines you would get from these. I just think they look incredible on though. If only I was going abroad this year *sigh*.

Currently loving - chunky mid-heel sandals

I just bought the most beautiful heeled sandals! They are a pretty much exact copy of some by River Island that I nearly bought for almost triple the price!! Pretty delighted right now!

Black heels £21.99 ebay, tan heels now £35 River Island

I literally can't wait for them to arrive! Although they have quite a high heel I think they would be suitable for stomping around in the day, as long as you weren't constantly on your feet. I'm a pretty small 5"4 so I'm always on the look out for comfortable low heels I can wear in the day to give me a few more inches!
But I also think these would be great for going out for drinks in the evening too. I do love a good all rounder shoe!

My obsession with mid-heel chunky sandals started when I bought a pair of Forum Gladiators from Office. These have barely left my feet and just go with so much! I like to wear them with denim shorts, jeans, leggings, everything. They just add a bit of height and a edge to the outfit without the 'omg you've got heels on you've made a huge effort' look. (See me wearing them here with a vintage dress)

I start my internship next month at Mint Vintage in Dalston, London, so Im on the look out for some more comfy heels with an acceptable heel for daytime. Hopefully I'm going to be helping styling models so I need every extra inch I can get! I hate being short :(

Here's some more chunky mid heels I'm loving at the moment!

I love the ankle straps on all of these. Apparently because of my height I should steer clear of ankle straps as they can make your legs look short, but they just add such a cool look to the shoe. They help to keep it on your foot too; I have a tendency to just walk out of shoes.

Do you like the mid heel trend?
